The Himalaya treatment is Hermès most labor intensive crocodile finish, each hide hand dyed so the scales fade from white at the straps edge into a warm taupe brown lower down, no two pairs ever landing on quite the same gradient. Here its applied to the Pharaons wide H cutout straps, the pattern showing from every direction. A tan leather footbed sits atop a chunky two tone sole, half ivory rubber, half rich wood grain, functional enough for actual walking despite the rarity of whats covering the top. Himalaya crocodile represents some of the most sought after and painstaking leatherwork Hermès produces, which is most of what adds rarity this high on a slide sandal.
